Avatar: The Way of Water

So far, Avatar:The Way of Water has grossed more than 1.3 billion in the Chinese market, with a predicted total of 1.527 billion. Undoubtedly, Avatar: The Way of Water has been very successful in the Chinese market, whether compared to its predecessor 12 years ago, or against Hollywood blockbusters of the same caliber.
The fact that Avatar raked in $2.7 billion at the global box office in that year alone gave Fox Films quite a boost, so plans for a sequel were quickly put on the table. The sequel, Avatar: Waterways, was released on December 16, 2022 and has already grossed over $2.1 billion worldwide.
